We are excited to share with you the latest features we've wrapped into Lacework version 1.72. No action is required on your end, the updates have already been implemented in the Lacework Platform.
Now it's time to log in and see how these new features can enhance your overall cloud security.
New in Lacework Release 1.72
Account Setup - AWS Integration
During initial account setup, we have eliminated the need to integrate CloudTrail and Security Audit separately. Additionally, users will no longer need to copy values from their AWS accounts into the Lacework UI. However, users will still need to login to the selected AWS account with administrative privileges. The new account setup process will result in a single CloudFormation stack being added to your AWS account.
To inform users of important product changes and updates, we've added a messaging feature to the Lacework dashboard.
Threat Intelligence Tags
We've added threat intelligence tags to highlight security concerns, so users can take appropriate action immediately. Labels will be included in event summaries and other relevant pages. For example, a malicious domain will be labeled and viewable in both the event summary and in the domain entry in the network dossier.
We have created a dashboard to efficiently summarize and highlight potential compliance concerns, especially in multi account environments. The dashboard includes an aggregated view of all AWS accounts that are integrated with Lacework, so you can quickly review each account against best practices. With highlighted violations across your entire organization quickly viewable, you can more easily take immediate action.
Lacework supports the 2 most recent releases of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
We value your feedback and welcome any comments you may have to help improve the Lacework solution. If you have any suggestions for future additions, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
