We are excited to share with you the latest features we've wrapped into Lacework version 1.7. No action is required on your end, the updates have already been implemented in the Lacework Platform.
Now it's time to log in and see how these new features can enhance your overall cloud security.
New in Lacework Release 1.7
To allow your team to use their enterprise credentials, we've added SAML as an authentication method. In addition to using the default method of one-time links and Google OAuth 2.0, administrators can now choose to enable SAML in place of OAuth. Lacework SAML supports both service provider and identity provider SSO.
File Hash Links to VirusTotal
The FIM dossier now contains links to VirusTotal for malicious file hashes. In the Known Bad Files table, select the hash of interest.
On the file page, click the VirusTotal link.
To improve table loading times, we have added pagination. Instead of attempting to load all records, we display only those that can be loaded in a reasonable amount of time. Users can select additional pages to cycle through table data.
In the event summary, we have changed how severity level is displayed. Instead of using numbers, we are now using “Critical”, “High”, “Medium”, “Low” or “Info” to maintain consistency with how we display the severity in the dashboard and timeline.
International Character Set
Users who have been unable to use their email address as 'username' because of our limited character set support can now do so.
Lacework supports the 2 most recent releases of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
We value your feedback and welcome any comments you may have to help improve the Lacework solution. If you have any suggestions for future additions, please let us know at email@example.com.
