We are excited to share with you the latest features we've wrapped into Lacework version 1.62. No action is required on your end, the updates have already been implemented in the Lacework Platform.
Now it's time to log in and see how these new features can enhance your overall cloud security.
New in Lacework Release 1.62
New Login Workflow
Users can now login with one email address across multiple accounts. To accommodate the change, the Lacework login URL has changed from https://api.lacework.net/ to https://<accountname>.lacework.net/.
- To login using the new workflow for the first time, navigate to https://login.lacework.net/ui/. If you know your account name, you can enter it on this page, click continue and proceed to the last step. If you do not know your account name, click on Find your Lacework account url.
- Enter the email associated with your Lacework account[s], and click the CONTINUE button. If your email is associated with a registered Lacework account, you will receive a message listing all of your accounts.
- Click on an account name in the received email to be directed to the selected account login page. You can bookmark this page for future logins.
- Login to Lacework using either your email or Google Oauth.
Links to AWS Services
When applicable, CloudTrail events and compliance issues now include links to the associated AWS services. A link opens a separate browser tab, allowing users to quickly resolve events and compliance issues.
To facilitate investigation, we have added VirusTotal links for Lacework events which include external IP addresses and domain names.
Lacework supports the 2 most recent releases of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
We value your feedback and welcome any comments you may have to help improve the Lacework solution. If you have any suggestions for future additions, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
